In 2025,

Law is the Best-Earning Career

In India More Than Doctors,

MBA & Engineers

It is also the Easiest

Think Beyond Engineering & Medicine

CLAT or Common Law Admission Test is a competitive test written by Law aspirants to get admission in 24 Top law colleges in India called National Law Universities (NLUs)

There are other tests that law aspirants take
AILET – NLU Delhi
LAWCET – Conducted by various states like MHLAWCET & TSLAWCET
SLAT – Conducted by Symbiosis
LSAT – Many private Law colleges like OP Jindal, LPU, etc

Advantages of Law & CLAT

Less Competition for Top Universities

CLAT has 60k test takers yearly,

JEE had 15L test takers & NEET had 23L test takers. Getting into IITs and AIIMs is impossible except for the very best.

High Salaries

Main NLUs average packages reach ₹17L

According to recent income tax filings data, lawyers were the profession with the most earners in the above ₹5 Crore bracket, after Business/Asset owners.

High Merit for Experience & Capability

Law is a career where competence matters more than qualifications.

E.g, Out of 52 Chief Justices of India (CJI), only 2 had a Master's in Law (LLM). All others, including the sitting CJI, have only a Bachelor's (LLB).

December Test

Unlike JEE & NEET, one can prepare dedicated for 6 months for CLAT as the exam is in December.

Many PCM students take advantage of this and crack CLAT with effective 6 month crash courses.
